What this codemay mean.
A plain-language reading of the code — always confirm against your model’s documentation.
Mean
The cooktop is too hot and the control panel switches off because of excessively high temperatures.
Heat shutdown on a Whirlpool induction cooktop: F0EA.
Steps in order
Ventilation: if the cooktop is poorly ventilated it can overheat and shut down, and heating or boiling takes longer. Specific venting information is in the Installation Instructions.
Cookware: an empty pot or pan on a cooking area may trigger F0EA. Switch the burner off, lift the pan away, put food or liquid in it, return it to the cooking area and start the cooktop again.
Control area: anything left on it, or liquids and soils, can press on the panel and cause the error. Clear objects and wipe off debris.
Then reset the power:
Turn off the circuit breaker(s) feeding the cooktop for one (1) minute.
Flip the breaker(s) back to on.
Allow it to cool down before it is used again.
Check the display over the next one (1) minute for any sign of the code.
Verify cooktop operation.
What the cooktop is telling you
Heat is the cause listed: electronics inside are running too hot, so the panel switches itself off until the cooktop cools.
