What this codemay mean.
A plain-language reading of the code — always confirm against your model’s documentation.
Mean
F24 shows too much laundry for the program, or too much inlet water.
Two possible reasons
An illuminated red symbol may accompany F24 on compact front load washers. Decide which case fits.
Case A: the load is too big
The program has a small maximum load. Choose and start Rinse & Spin to complete the interrupted cycle. From now on, stay within the maximum load size shown in the “Program/Cycle Guide” in the Owner’s Manual.
Case B: too much water came in
Close the water faucet.
Press and hold Power for 3 seconds or longer so the washer drains; End on the display marks the finish of the drain phase.
Open the faucet again.
Water entering immediately, with no program running? Close the faucet, turn the washer off and unplug it. The “Assistance or Service” section of the Owner’s Manual explains how to reach a service representative.
Stop immediately if you notice smoke, sparks, a burning smell, gas odor, or water near electrical parts.
Safe
Important
Do not attempt repairs involving electrical components, gas, water lines, refrigerant or sealed systems. Unplug the appliance if it is safe to reach the outlet, and leave internal diagnostics to a qualified technician.
