Quick answer
F0E2 flags excess suds. Handling differs a little between front load, top load, laundry tower and compact ventless tower washers.
Model note: Whirlpool reuses codes across series and model years, so F0E2 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.

What this codemay mean.
A plain-language reading of the code — always confirm against your model’s documentation.
Mean
F0E2 means excessive suds were detected in the washer.
What F0E2 tells you
Suds in the drum are above what the washer can handle. Too many suds can keep it from spinning out water, so a load may come out wet or under-rinsed.
Compact ventless laundry towers (washer section)
With “Sud” or “Sd” on the display, the washer lengthens the rinse automatically.
It stops tumbling and adds water so the bubbles break; this can repeat several times.
Measure detergent according to the maker’s dosage, based on soil level and load size.
Detergent pacs that come pre-measured in large sizes suit only large or heavily soiled loads.
Bleach labelled “no splash” or “easy pour” has a thickening agent. Use regular liquid bleach instead.
Afterwards, a Clean Wash cycle is recommended to remove leftover detergent.
Laundry towers (washer section)
Listed cause: over suds detection. Always use HE detergent, in the correct amount, and clean the washer regularly. With “Sud” or “Sd” and the Rinse status light on, let the cycle continue. With the Cycle Complete light on, choose a Rinse/Spin cycle. Containers should stay closed, and detergent that is not dissolving, powder in particular, should be replaced.
Front load washers
An automatic suds reduction routine runs; allow the washer to continue. With a bulk dispenser turned on, adding more detergent can cause suds, and the concentration setting matters.
Top load washers
The washer found too many suds, so choose Rinse/Spin if the load needs more rinsing. For “no splash” or “easy-pour” bleach, run the washer empty with regular bleach or use a washer cleaning product first.
Stop immediately if you notice smoke, sparks, a burning smell, gas odor, or water near electrical parts.

Important
Do not attempt repairs involving electrical components, gas, water lines, refrigerant or sealed systems. Unplug the appliance if it is safe to reach the outlet, and leave internal diagnostics to a qualified technician.
