Quick answer
FCE1 on Whirlpool wall ovens: The oven could not connect to the router; there may be a Wi-Fi module, signal or router problem.
Model note: Whirlpool reuses codes across series and model years, so FCE1 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Whirlpool®
What this codemay mean.
A plain-language reading of the code — always confirm against your model’s documentation.
Mean
The oven could not connect to the router; there may be a Wi-Fi module, signal or router problem.
What the display is telling you
Router connection failed: the appliance could not connect. Per the manual the issue may be the Wi-Fi module, with connection time out, poor signal strength, a failed router, the module itself, or the associated wiring as possible reasons. It is a wall oven code.
Reset the oven
Reset power: breaker(s) off for one minute, then on.
Spend one minute watching that the code does not show again; verify the oven runs.
Reset your wireless router and ask whether another Wi-Fi capable device, like a phone or tablet, behaves normally. Take it to the oven to test.
If it does, power the router off for 2 minutes and back on; then power the oven off for 2 minutes and back on.
With a signal short of full bars, the manual suggests moving your router to a different location, using a compatible signal extender, or contacting your Internet Service Provider.
